The world is increasingly recognizing the requirement within the Development Sector of strong Administrative structures in order to ensure transparency, quick response times, and clear messages. For better or for worse, corporate standards of communication, efficiency, and systems are entering the world of NGOs. Fortunately, Saathi has always held professionalism in every aspect of our work as one of our highest ideals. Past years have shown milestones of adherence of “Best Practices”, strong relationship management with donor agencies, and similar aspects that reflect our commitments to quality. This year, it can be seen in our responsiveness to change as we proactively delved into administrative structures that form the backbone of the organization. The department, which encompasses everything from Accounting to Public Relations, added more administrative support to project teams, in-house catering for Saathi events and group processes, and greater communication within the organization through bulletins and monthly organization-wide admin-focused meetings.
